Thank you for taking the time to write the Chandler City Council with your
concerns regarding Covance. All emails sent to city officials are public record.
Despite the large volume of
letters sent to the council, they have done nothing to keep Covance out of
Chandler. Please plan to attend the demonstration to show the council that
local residents are not satisfied with their actions.

COVANCE PROTEST ?– THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26
What: a demonstration held in a high-visibility area of downtown Chandler
When: Thursday, Oct 26th from 4:30pm - 7:00pm
Where: at the park across from City Hall
55 N. Arizona Place
Chandler, AZ 85225
Why: because not only will rush hour traffic witness the protest, but also our
gathering will coincide with the City Council meeting at 7pm, bringing
even more attention to our demonstration
Who: anyone is invited who or cares about stopping Covance from building
their new facility in Chandler ?– bring your friends, kids, pets, etc.
Note: the demo will officially start at 5pm, but we plan to meet early at 4:30pm
at the park along the west side of Arizona Avenue, between Buffalo St
and Boston St. The City Council meeting begins at 7pm in the 2nd floor
council room in the Chandler Library, the building right behind City Hall.
Please plan on attending that meeting as well, our voice must be heard!
Bring: signs, although there will be plenty extra. Also available will be ?“Stop
Covance?” T-shirts available for only $5 each (L and XL only) to wear over
your clothes. The more solidarity we can show the better!

We need a FIRM COMMITMENT- please RSVP ONLY if you are sure you can come. We need a HUGE turnout (100+ people) to make this effective. THIS PROTEST COULD BE THE TURNING POINT IN OUR MOVEMENT TO STOP COVANCE! This will be a crucial demonstration to focus on the deception and back-door politics of the Chandler Mayor and City Council, and also the complete disregard for residents' input and concerns regarding Covance. Try to bring only signs that focus on the Mayor & City Council.
