The nights are getting cooler and the kids are back to school, which means one thing....the end of Summer. I guess all good things must come to an end. But not so fast! We still have time to squeeze in one last Red Flag Friday! It will be at the Shulhom's (on Tiburon) September 19th. Remember to BYOB, an appetizer to share and your lawn chairs. And if the evening is too cool, then we will just have to start a fire pit (bring a sweater, just in case).
Save the Date! Since so many people were on vacation when we had planned our neighborhood picnic, we had to cancel :( But no worries....we have planned a neighborhood Chili Party instead. It will be held on Saturday, October 4th at the Weller Park Shelter. Their is no charge this time, however, we are asking for your participation in our Chili Cook Off. Please consider brewing up a batch of your favorite Chili recipe to share (a fantastic prize will be rewarded to the "best"!) Pasta, cheese, crackers bowls etc. will be provided. Don't have a good recipe? No problem. Just bring and side dish or dessert to share. Families with the last names A-N should bring a side and O-Z should bring a dessert. Don't forget to bring your drinks and lawn chairs. This should be a fun time for all! We hope to see you then!
Other interesting neighborhood happenings to mention are the new sound barrier wall and the work that the city is doing on our streets. Hooray! Both of these should help in maintaining/improving our property values!
