   I live in here in Mornigside on 6th Court, and every day I run with my dog through our neighborhood down to the park. This morning as my LEASHED dog and I were running, we turn the corner by the park and this intelligent man with his wife by his side and their dog, he decides to let his leash go and his dog came running to me and my TRAINED, LEASHED dog. As anyone with common sense, we can all conclude not to assume that every dog is friendly, passive, social, etc. ...........As this mans dog came running at my dog and I, my TRAINED, LEASHED dog felt the need to protect me and himself and the fight began !!!! I was screaming for the man to get his dog , but I guess it wasn't that important for him to run after his dog !!  I ended up with my dogs leash around my upper arm and I was underneath the dogs on the ground !!!!!  I am sooo extremely disgusted and angry over the fact of dog owners not having their animals on LEASHES !!!   THIS HAS TO STOP !!!!!  I was in danger today because of someone elses' negligence !!! I don't know anyone in their right mind who owns dogs that can walk them without leashes !!!!  If this isn't a clear enough picture of what can happen when people walk their dogs without LEASHES, I dont know what is !!!!  There have been MANY occasions where I have had to turn down different streets to avoid large dogs with their OWNERS off LEASHES !!!  This is ridiculous and irresponsible and unsafe for everyone and their dogs !!!
