Does anyone know why the new stop sign at the entrance to the neighborhood has been added? I feel it is not needed. Thanks.

Most people have not been slowing down as they drive into the subdivision. With the construction vehicles coming in and out of the new development behind the pool, it is necessary for traffic to be stopped to prevent an accident. Also, traffic turning left onto Marricourt from Devonshire have on numerous occasions made sharp left turns into the path of oncoming traffic on Marricourt. Bottom line, the stop signs make for safe driving for everyone.

Not sure why but, I would guess because of the new subdivision that they are building or because of the fact people don't know how to do the speed limit.

Seems like the new location of the stop sign versus the outlet for the new subdivision will cause some interesting decisions. Wouldn't it have been nice (smart) for this entrance / exit of the new subdivison to have met at the new - now 3-way stop making it a 4-way with less possibility of accidents and confusion?
