is the first of 366 days of 2008, this being a leap year. May 1/3 of these days be filled with beautiful, white, fluffy snow. The other 2/3's are probably gonna suk.

Today suks already-
Nuttin' on TV. Got the Today show on. As usual, everyone on that show is talking at the same time and laughing hilariously at God knows what. Al Roker is jumping around like a puppet on a string, yelling unintelligibly at someone. If it were not for local news, I'd never watch that lib-leaning station. |

Oh, crap.
I'm starting the year off bitchin'. Maybe it's because there ain't much heat in this building this cold morning. Yeah, I know, I'm supposed to like winter and cold weather. I like it OUTSIDE, not inside. While I'm crabbin', I wouldn't mind if every politician running for office would lose their voice for a few days. I'm sick of hearing how great and all American they all are. George Bush said all the same things. Think about it. Nothing good is gonna come from it all. Just new faces. Otherwise, same ol' crap. Now government is pushing for 35 MPG for new autos. They will already do that and some even better. Think about it. We are brainwashed into thinking we absolutely need auto trannies, using s few MPG's more that a manual tranny. Don't forget power brakes, steering, windows, seats, mirrors, heated seats and even steering wheels, air conditioning, navigation devices, stereo equipment etc. Strip a car down to the basic necessities and you'll see a big boost in MPG. Ford model A's could get 20+ MPG 76 years ago, on 4 cylinders and 40 horsepower. We are raising speed limits but expect more MPG. C'mon people. |

Don't know if you're a fan Ned, but there's a Twilight Zone marathon showing on the SciFi channel....think it goes all day. All of the old black and white favorites. |
