You get what you pay for.

You're complaining about a meal that costs less than two dollars. Think about it.

The simple solution would seem to be to spend 10 minutes in the morning and pack a lunch. Once again, the school is being expected to take the place of the ''absent'' parents. Best case would be for the schools to get out of the food and transportation business altogether.

Perhaps, But...

For two dollars I can go to Wendy's and get a junior bacon cheesburger (real cheese, real bacon, lettuce and tomato), and a small frosty.
Now, I can't say for sure, but I'll bet the nutritional value in that beats a pretzel with immitation cheese dip!

By all means then...

....drive your child to Wendy's for lunch. You can then quit belly-aching about the quality of his lunch.

You might want to research the nutritional values, as well as the caloric values of that Bacon Cheeseburger.
