Thank You

for sharing your views and experiences with the Button Factory Restaurant.

We have always had good food and service and because of that we have not been too concerned about the prices. We were on our return trip home and had to pass through Davenport. We had discussed stopping and having dinner at the Olive Garden but decided we were anxious to get home so we would have dinner at the Woodfire Grill.

We had thought the best way to handle this was to send them a letter recounting our experience. Any reputable business who have responded to that letter but they have not done so. I guess that was the clincher for us because if they do not care about our concerns, we no longer care to eat there.

it is sad because we need a classy restaurant in Muscatine so we will also go to the Pizza Ranch and Applebees in town and eat out in Coralville and Davenport.

Pizza Ranch, NOT!

We went to Pizza Ranch...starving last night. Busy day for all @ work, school activities, etc. Wed. evening; 6:30pm... we figured...a buffet would be fast & good. NOT! There was NOTHING on the buffet to speak of. I always go for the salad foods first. The salad area was very obviously a LAST RESORT! There was nothing to speak of...everything was empty. We were there for 30 min. & that situation did not change!

We were not the only ones frustrated. They brought out the pizza & the chicken regularly, but it was gone as fast as it came out! We left @ 7:00. We ate what was available... period. This has happened a couple of times before. We don't know if we'll go back.

If we get good service, I always make sure I fill out a card. If I get bad service, I fill that card out, also. Pizza Ranch needs to step up to the plate.

I'd love to see them, other local restraunts & the Woodfire Grill succeed! We need to support our local merchants. They need to hear our suggestions & complaints to help them help us. Let's help them with our feedback. Be aggressive & insist on letting the manager know what you feel! I will!

Where Is The Owner?

That's the first question to ask your server if you are displeased with any aspect of the restaurant. Notice, I said OWNER, not MGR. Not that a restaurant owner's presence will gaurantee it's success, but the absence of that owner will ensure it's failure.
When is the last time the owner(s) of the B.F. were seen directing things? I typically see the owner of Pizza Ranch at his kid's school activities (which is great) but, if you're going into that business it means sacrifice.
BTW, I think the chicken at Pizza Ranch is pretty darned good! Have'nt done the buffet.

gohawks, thank you

gohawks,
You have a very good point. Thank you. Instead of complaining here, I should have let the owner know. I hope that because of my post, others do NOT stay away from the Pizza Ranch. You were right when you said the chicken was delicious. I don't eat it, but my son & husband love it. We were hungry & frustrated. I went against my own principles when I wrote that post, and I apologize to the owners. I will, however, let them know our dissatifaction and hope they can remedy the problem.
