No offense to you, Hechta

This is what I heard from your post, Hechta.
''Not that far fetched. My co-worker took their child to Jefferson for kindergarten introduction. SHE WAS THE ONLY CAUCASIAN THERE. They were provided an interpreter because the class was in spanish. They took her out and complained and WERE ABLE to GET HER MOVED to another school''.
(Translation? What did you hear there, Hechta? Did they REACT, or act in a reasonable way? Did they even express their desire that their child be in an english speaking class? 99% of the the classes are @ Jefferson!).
THIS is my problem with your post. Does this make sense to you? I'm disagreeing, not attacking. Honest!
''If we have reached the point that an english speaking student is the one who has to be given an interpretor then our system is a mess''. (If what your friends interpreted were true, I would agree. The system would be a mess)!
What you posted was THEIR interpretation of a very wrong perception on their part. The point I was trying to make to them & others is this. The ''conclusion'' they made to move to another school was made out of misconception and fear. NOT REALITY. Please read your post again, with a different perspective? You hurt the reputation of a very good school that has an extremely FIRM foundation! I disagree with what you posted...you have a right to your opinion & I respect that. I'm sorry if I offended you, but your post wasn't well thought out. I feel blessed that my children & grandchildren have Jefferson School.
