I'm afraid I have some sad news for all my friends and neighbors here. My Mother-in-law just informed me that 2 cents passed away this afternoon. No, I am not joking. Apparently, she had been ill for a little while, and today it just got the better of her. It's very hard for me to believe that the person who just posted Happy september to all of us, will not be here to wish us happiness again. If I could ask something of you all, perhaps you would all like to post a favorite memory of her. I, for one, will miss her sense of humor, and her love of a good joke. Our neighborhood will stand forever changed.

My condolences to 2cents' family and friends.

The amazing thing is that I didn't know she was sick at all. She always came on here with a goofy joke or something funny to try and brighten another person's day, when it would have been so easy for her to whine about how crappy she felt.

I guess better than I knew anyone else on this site. She attended a benefit I helped give for a co-worker and introduced herself. We already knew each other from prior events and friends, but pieces were put more into place that night. She was a good person and always looked at the brighter side of life.

What a shock to me as it was not very long ago when she told me how she respected me for the fight I was going through.
I had no idea that she also was going through tough times.
I will miss her wit and jokes as she always came across as a very nice person.
The neighbor hood has lost a true friend.
