Tree help? Desperate!?

During the ice storm last winter, a limb of one of our trees & another neighbors fell on of our fellow neighbors garage. Damage was widespread... Our insurance refused to pay for their damage.
During the tornado, our tree stood! However, our other neighbor's tree wreaked havoc to the other neighbor previously mentioned. We assumed our tree was safe.
Within a very short time, we had another strong storm. A branch from OUR tree did some damage to their home. Again...our insurance company refused to help.
We now knew that our tree could be a danger to us & TO our neighbors. We called Tree companies in our town & were quoted extreme prices; we were in the process of negotiating when another storm hit. Thankfully, the tree fell on our house, not our neighbor's. The cost to get rid of this danger will be ours, not theirs.
Several weeks ago, we hired a company. They continue to say, ''we will be there by the end of the week''. It hasn't happened! I do NOT want to muddy their name since our town has had so much damage...but I have begged them to please come & protect our neighbors?! At this point, I don't care about OUR welfare. I want our neighbors to feel safe. Any feedback or ideas from any of you would be so very welcome!

We call them, beg them for help. They say, we'll try to get to you by the end of the week. We've called others, they say they are busy. ANY IDEAS ANYONE?

DJ's

tree service came to my house to give us an estimate to take our tree down, they gave us estimate and took the tree down right away, like same day, within minutes of us saying ''ok''

maybe try them?

I really don't know what to tell you. The one thing I will say is be careful Of DJ's Tree Service. I called them about 1 year ago to remove some dead limbs from our tree and when I asked what kind it was, the owner didn't even know. Suspicious to me to be in a business when you can't even id the tree your working on. Good luck and I hope you get your tree removed soon.
A jerk like me

Not to sound too much like the jerk that I am...but...although the trees might be on your property, anything that hangs over onto your neighbors property is their responsibility. They may be your trees, but your neighbors have the right to cut off anthing that hangs over the property line over onto their side. If they feel that they are at risk, then they should get the limbs cut. If the branch that fell from your tree was hanging over to their property and it damaged their home, then their insurance should have paid for it and not yours...and I'm thinking that your insurance company might have told you this as well. Come on Legal Eagles...let me have it.
