I think this is a pretty good idea for all the reasons you posted. I would go even a little further but I am not sure how this would be taken so here goes anyway.
At her funeral, varius members from the neighborhood could read some of their silly creations. We might research some of her posts and present a chronology of them. All this at her funeral. I mean no disrespect as I would consider this as an honor to her memory. Just a thought.
