From the Associated Press:

A Philadelphia Appeals Court today will consider whether or not the baring of Janet Jackson's breast at the halftime show of the 2004 Superbowl was an ''indecent act'' or merely a ''wardrobe malfunction''. CBS has been fined $550,000.00 already, and is considering taking this to the Supreme Court.

I cannot believe, with all the problems facing this country, that nearly 4 years later, this is even an issue. Talk about a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money. Is there anyone out there that thinks this is still even newsworthy? How prudish are the people that are still up in arms about this? I mean, you see more nudity on anyone of the networks primetime dramas than was seen that split second at the Superbowl.

It would be a better use of taxpayers dollars if I sued the FCC and U.S. Gov't for a blatant ''misuse of taxpayers monies'' to pursue this retarded case.
Anyone else think this is just plain STUPID??!!!

Whaaaa????????

I think I was more emotionally scarred by seeing David Caruso's bare @ss on NYPD Blue, than Janet Jackson's nipple. Maybe we should start a class action suit over the distress caused to the American people by this. SV, yeah, I was just as surprised as you to read than there was anyone around who still gave a dam about this. Thank God they got their priorities in order, hahahaha........

a breast

if the court case is about overturning the so called indecent act, then i'm ok with it. too much censorship already.

the thing happened so fast on tv that i did not see 'it'.

google 'janet jackson' for the voyeur's view.
Janet needs publicity

Why does this keep coming up? Who is pushing these charges forward? You are right. Waste of money, but the judiciary has an obligation to the public to not let frivilous (sp) lawsuits go forward. Is there some judge or attornet somewhere trying to get some TV time? Hey, I like seeing bare naked boobies on TV just like the next guy, but can't they just let it go. As a parent, I'm more offended with the ED commercials being aired all the time. I can explain a random boob poppin' up for air to my 8 year old better than I can explain an old couple in matching bath tubs watching the sun go down waitin' for pops to spring into action. COME ON!
