Former United States Marine Corps Sergeant ?‘68
As an elementary school student I pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. After many years, I stopped to think about that pledge, and realized that it was actually a pledge to uphold the Constitution of which the flag is a widely recognized symbol.
I too am bound not by the oath(s) taken along the way, but the one I reconfirm every day as I make choices in my life and talk with others about our American society. Each time I hear Ron Paul speak, I hear his reconfirmation of his oath(s).
