Larry Ryan Says:

Former United States Marine Corps Sergeant ?‘68

As an elementary school student I pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. After many years, I stopped to think about that pledge, and realized that it was actually a pledge to uphold the Constitution of which the flag is a widely recognized symbol.

I too am bound not by the oath(s) taken along the way, but the one I reconfirm every day as I make choices in my life and talk with others about our American society. Each time I hear Ron Paul speak, I hear his reconfirmation of his oath(s).

Ron PaulWASHINGTON ? Ron Paul is steamed about being excluded from a New Hampshire debate scheduled to be televised by Fox News.

''They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will,'' Paul said of Fox News Network. ''They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative.''

The challenge got some attention on a slow Internet news day yesterday, with many websites still carrying the story. However, not all is what it appears.

There is no debate.

No one is invited.

It was canceled.
Somehow, Ron Paul missed the memo.

I'm not against Ron Paul. I just ran across this and found it humorous.
