Since you work at Wal-Mart can you tell me two things. First why I have to pay for film at the film department. Now I have to write two checks. Second, why do they now process the check and give it bak to you? I try to not go to Walmart for those two reasons. When I go I use my credit card. Just something about getting the check back bothers me.

I can answer this..
Because so many people show up at the film department and say ''Oh, I'll pay for this up front with my groceries''..and they never do.
I'm sure they get ripped off for tons of film developing. Doesn't matter if you think they can afford it, being Walmart & all...it's still theft.
It's an inconvenience, for sure, but if you are truly buying something else, and want to write just one check, the film department always takes it up front, and you just have to tell the cashier. Inconvenient? YES it is, but it's the way things are, thanks to your many local shoplifters.

I understand
I understand that, but it is a pain. I have asked to have it taken up front and the look of daggers I get from the clerks is enough to make me just write a seperate check. I have also had them do it, but they say in such a rude tone, '' I guess I have to run this film up.'' Oh well, I guess that is life.

i understand too
sometimes they might as well just say ''Because we're so sure you're not actually going to pay for this, I'll have to take time out of my very busy shift to take this up front.''.
It would be nice if they could do this without acting put out by it, or treating everyone like a criminal..
Yea, it's very frustrating.
