But don't worry. We're the cause of global warming. Gore the bore says so. Lmao.
Speaking of global warming, compare the lifestyles of global warming spokesnut Al Gore and real a environmentalist like Ed Begley Jr. Al talks the talk, Ed walks the walk.

Found this-

Post somewhere. Didn't write it myself. Don't gots the noledj on this subjek.

The congressional ban on incandescent light bulbs is another case of government causing unnecessary problems for the people. I still use incandescent light bulbs for short-cycle applications for three reasons. Unless you will use the light for more than 30 minutes (amount of time varies by lamp model), you will actually use more energy starting a fluorescent lamp than you would use to run the incandescent bulb for that entire length of time. Short-cycle applications may include hallways, porch, and storage area lights. Secondly, fluorescent lamps degrade more from on-off cycles than incandescent bulbs. Finally, fluorescent lamps perform poorly in cold environments, such as outdoors in Minnesota during winter.

There is also an application of the incandescent bulb that takes advantage of its inefficiency: it makes a great low-power heater for such things as chicken egg incubators. Fluorescent bulbs contain hazardous waste, so forcing people to use them in applications where their life will be shortened by cycling will unnecessarily compound our disposal problems. I suspect that most people already use fluorescent lights where it makes sense to do so. When LED or nanodot emission lights become sufficiently mature to replace fluorescent lamps, I expect the people will be happy to dump the incandescent bulb for these alternatives. The congressional mandate is not only an abuse of power, it is unneeded.''
