Muscatine

on Christmas day. The peace and quiet is almost overwhelming knowing the hustle and bussel that will be taking place shortly. The youngest 2 will rip open their gifts caring less who it's from, while the 13 year old will comment on each gift before its opened, and the 16 (boy)year old will hope that what ever is in there is edible, or can it be made edible. As my living room fills with what is now neatly wrapped packages organized under the tree and the hustle and bussel of the day engorges itself with noise. I will hope that all of my friends in the neighborhood are enjoying the day and the meaning of it. May peace fill your life, and Health shine upon each one of you in the new year. Even though the bickering here is sometimes much like my living room, I love you all for the joy and sometimes caring compassion that we can show each other. HUGGS to you mil!

We allowed our almost 15 yr. old son to have 2 of his long time friends stay the night. 11:00 PM hour here, after a long day, lol! Got my 8 yr. old grandaughter to sleep, (her mom is @ work), have to be to work @ 7:30 AM.
The boys have 2 TV's hooked up to games, brought over by the others, bouncing basketballs, practicing golf swings, etc. as we speak!
The high school boys have been very kind to my grandaughters today & tonight. They played in the snow, taught them how to play video games inside. The boys were teachers, the girls were in awe that they were accepted. I wouldn't trade any of this for the world.
In the midst of chaos, peace & love can be found. You found that today, mil! Merry Christmas & a Hug from one mom to another!
