i'll play

lasco is on the track - religious. the first part is about abraham & issac, an angel, and the ram in the thicket.

the second part is a switch on god and the blood sacrfice of jesus.

but, but chosen - what if the son was old enough and was a father also. now what, huh.

mr s pants' answer was the one keeping it real.

Chosen's poem has a point

I'll bite: In Hitler's time; the Jews were the enemy.
(''Insects scratched the air above the clover & No angel came to stop the father''). Many wanted to stop the travesty that was happening! A few attempted to make a difference. The price they paid was hefty, many were witnesses & fear was driven into their soul. In response to the travesty, a few rebelled. (''Small mammals hurried through the hedgerows and the blackbirds sat in a crooked row.'').
In response to the anger & fear, Hitler & his minions lashed out violently! Those actions angered many more, struck fear in their hearts; they continued to fight back, to no avail. (''And no RAM appeared on the son?’s behalf, So the son killed the father to save himself). He lived, but the world that emerged wasn't what he had valiantly fought for. His family & friends had died for another person's agenda. He realized, too late, to not put his faith in his own beliefs or another's agenda. (''And after that there was no help for him Because all help must come from the Father'').
This poem tells us to have strength, love, compassion & FAITH. Are you an insect, small mammal, blackbird or a person of faith that realizes the end of the book (that is the cornerstone of the USA), is correct? ''The weak can prevail?'' I have been every one of them in my life. FEAR... False Education Appearing Real.

Not Chosen's poem

I read it on a very legitimate literature site. Is it the best poem I ever read, no. But it does raise an eye-brawl and isn't that what poetry is suspose to do?

Then the question comes, what's the meaning? I believe it's religious, but what's the message?

Tlou - You really put some thought into that. Thank You.

Peace
