Check out joey3's post on 9/18. Then look at all the replies! Is that how a Muscatine discussion board wants to portay our town? Good Lord...looks like everyone is in the 2nd grade.
Positive posts are good joey3! I'll watch for them! I need upbeat & positive in my life! Ignore the bullies...they are the few. There are a lot of negatives in our world, in our town; but so very many positives! We all need to help each other remember those positives, right? Some of us don't have the time, or the computer savvy to share. Go for it!

thanks

tlou for seeing where I was coming from. I have been reading the posts long before I decided to post and I know that some of my friends from out of town visit this site, and It does end up in cursing and name calling and I admit that i have sunk to that level when I was picked at enough...

YW & I understand!

I don't post often. I'm ashamed to admit, at times I haven't been the best ''neighbor''. It's easy to want to ''bite back''...when others are attacking.
We have an awesome town! There are things that could be changed. I love our safe community! I LOVE the Riverfront changes! It's so AWESOME to take our family there to enjoy a FREE day of FUN! The younger kids can play in the fountain and on the toys. My teen can play basketball or walk our dogs on the AWESOME WALKWAY!
If we choose, we can look at the sun Rise Or Set over OUR river. We can watch the boats, barges, etc. What a way to relax! There are so many entrepeneurs trying to make our town a great place. I don't understand the negative people that try to knock it down. (A few bad apples in every bunch?).
Joey3...remind you're out of town friends of this! Remind them that they can walk down our streets and get a smile. Tell them that if they need directions to ANYWHERE...the chances are that the person will ''LOOK at them, LISTEN to them and RESPOND to them''.
Our town has totally awesome citizens. There are a few that have too much time on their hands to criticize, as opposed to making a difference. Let them be & don't respond to their ''hateful venom''. Positive Imaging...Think positive joey3...don't let anyone bring you down. Thanks for reminding me of that!

Keep in mind that many of the replies are from users that have several aliases. There are a certain number of users that love to hear themselves so much that they use different nicknames and reply to their own posts just to make it seem they are valid. Most who post here are good people and have true concern for others. Like I said before, if you starve the ones that are here to cause trouble by simply ignoring them they will fade away.
