They were opened

last apple season and had some really tasty apples. Saddly they are closed this year due to a really bad apple crop. They are adding a cider press next year and hope to have a bumper crop. The family is refurbishing, pruning and doing a lot of work to provide a good crop in the future. The local apples did not do well anywhere this year including my own.

I heard

I heard the reason the local apple crops did not do well was due to a shortage or low population of the pollinating bees the trees depend on. No one really knows why their numbers were so low this year, but local honey and all associated products are more expensive as a result, not mention, hard as heck to find.

Just what I heard. . .for what it's worth. I found it rather interesting myself.

My Tree Had Apples...

But, the squirrels got them all. I watched these tree rats kick the fruit from the tree with their hind legs and, then, race to the ground to eat it! By the time I had shot all the varments, the crop was gone.
he wasn't talking

about road apples douche bag. Besides why are you suggesting someone trespass onto someone's orchard anyway?
