from old movies. Just this morning I watched a movie entitled '' The personality kid''. It was about a boxer and starred Pat O'Brian and Glenda Farrell. This movie, circa 1934, showed a scene that took place in a drive-in restaurant complete with car hops.
I always believed drive-ins were a 1950's invention so I googled it and learned drive-ins were around even before 1934. It seems J.G. Kirby started the first one in 1921 called ''The pig pen''. It was located on the Dallas-Ft. Worth highway.
Gotta love those old movies. Sensible plots, better acting, good lighting,
camera work and scenery. They couldn't hide their poor movie-making skills behind sex scenes then.
