I guess I can't see (nether will you if you take the time to really read the post) any insinuation regarding your good intentions to help the animals. Your intentions are quite honerable. Helping the animals isn't the question, the question is that why would Louisa County, who chooses not to help fund a much needed service expect (or any of its citizens) expect that others should pick up the tab for them? In life we get what we pay for, and that's what we should expect. Nothing more, nothing less. You are not the first poster on here from Louisa County opining the same issue. My point was, pay up and enjoy the benefits of having access to that service.
Try this

take the mother cat and her kittens tie them in an old pillow case and head down to the breaks near dusk and heave the bag into the river. Brush your hands a couple of times and your problems are over.

Hey, fish and turtles need to eat too ya know.

I will say one thing...

Move to Muscatine....

Eleanor Devorchak + the Muscatine Humane Society is the best thing that happened to this town.

Chris McGinnis is the same 1st best!!!! She has been an integral part of it since it's conception... I remember her when she had her trailer down in southend...

Eleanor runs SNAP, and Chris is the Director at MHS. For you to mention living in Louisa County was the 1st thing I noticed. Talk to your County Supers 1st. If You want Muscatine to help You, expect to pay for it... If you want help with animals, make sure you goto your county you live in....

There is no difference than me taking some strays I found here in Muscatine up to Scott County and demanding them to help me to spay or give them shots... IS THERE???

Now really... is there?? What do you think the Scott County Humane Society would tell me?

Ummmmm... Buh Bye.. That's what they would say...

So... plz... don't diss the Musc Humane Society for a non resident... That's totally unfair...

When you live in a certain county, there are certain benefits... This is a very good example of those few known... and it amazes me that when peeps outside of the community expect it, and don't get them, how much they cry....

Chris, Eleanor, Musc County, and the Humane Society, KUDOS!!!

Keep to your guns...

PS... BTW... I just registered my nuetered dog today at the courthouse. #31-- Last #'s deleted intentionally... You got your animals registered??

:-)
