Assuming you're not the same person, I'll address you both here in a new thread. Mainly because I'm aware of bigbrother's propensity to not return to a thread. (At least that's what he claims, although I believe that he's just ignoring being proven wrong. But I digress...) I figure by starting a new thread and putting his name in the title, he can't claim to have missed it. Anyway... On with my point...

Unlike the two of you I am not a blindly devoted, my-country-right-or-wrong, nationalistic fool. I'm a little more grown up than that. Hence the reason I don't feel it necessary to ''quote any Americans,'' bigbrother. When a quote fits the situation, I am mature enough to recognize the logic in it regardless of the speaker's nationality. (Just for the record, though, Albert Einstein became an American citizen in 1940 and remained one until his death in 1955. So in effect, he was an American, bigbrother.)

As for bobsdad's ridiculous claim of a liberal media, I will make you a deal that for every example of alleged liberal media bias that you can list, I can provide you with at least one example of a conservative bias in the media. The truth is, the so-called liberal media bias is nothing but a canard invented by Republicans intended to provide cover for their misdeeds. If the media should catch them doing something improper, well it's all too easy to claim a liberal media bias. I'm reminded of the child in school who was always in trouble but continuously denies responsibility claiming that he was ''framed'' or ''set up'' or the others are ''picking on him'' or, better yet, the teachers ''just don't like him.'' Those that continue to cry liberal media bias are no better than the mother of the aforementioned child who believes that her son could do no wrong and that he is indeed being ''set up'' and ''framed'' and the teachers truly have all met and singled him out as the focus of their evil plot to embarrass and humiliate students. Unfortunately for that mother (and in effect for you, bobsdad) everyone else can see the truth and believes the mother to be a fool who's having the wool pulled over her eyes. I'm sure you remember the ''vast right-wing conspiracy,'' don't you, bd? Well, the alleged liberal media bias is no more credible than Hilary's dubious assertion. (Take the hook out of your mouth, bd, and you'll see that it's much more refreshing to think for yourself.)

And as far as how I would define ''mess,'' allow me to provide you a list:

• Post invasion looting
• Too few troops to do the job
• Failure to secure weapons caches like that at al Qaqaa
• The failure to have seen the oncoming sectarian strife that was predicted by many
• The current dysfunctional Iraqi government
• Blackwater
• Haliburton
• Bechtel and their high-tech children's hospital
• Missing millions in reconstruction money
• Abu Ghraib
• No WMD
• Thousands of dead Iraqi civilians
• The failure to secure the borders and prevent foreign fighters from entering the country
• Inadequate body armor
• A lack of uparmored vehicles
• Shiite militias controlling neighborhoods
• ...

I'm sure I can come up with more if you need them, bd. Maybe if you pulled your head out of the sand, removed the hook from your mouth, and started paying attention, you'd see these things too. But I'm sure you've got a whole list of Rush-sponsored talking points that will show us how we've ''turned corners'' and ''made progress.''

The truth is, bd, your continual use of ethnic slurs tells us all we need to know about you. You're one of those dead-ender, Bush apologists that will back your party no matter how morally decrepit they become.

Ya gotta lighten up, haysus. Look at the time you spend spewing your liberal mantra at folks that don't really care what you have to say. I just like turning you into a response-puppet. My wife and I get a good laugh out of you when we look at how long your posts grow to and the amount of research that you copy and paste..all for naught.

The sad thing is...you can't tell anymore when a poster is posting in jest or not. You lost your sense of humor a long time ago here.

You should be happier. You got your liberal control of congress. Its just not your fault that they can't get anything done..you shouldn't reflect that disappointment through your posts like you do.

I knew

it wouldn't take you long to respond, bigbrother. You're as predictable as you like to pretend everybody else is.

You needn't worry about my sense of humor, though. I laugh all the time. Mostly at Republicans and their sheep, but I do laugh a lot.

I have to admit, it's a little difficult to tell if your ''posting in jest.'' Probably because you've posted so much hate and vitriol over the years. But if this is the new jolly and joshing bigbrother, then I look forward to your future posts of harmless fun. (FYI, fart jokes seem to be a big hit around here.)

In the meantime, feel free to ignore me if I'm truly as boring as you claim I have become. I'm sure I'll get by without your attention. Besides, I've got bobsdad to kick around for a while.
