Was watching Jeopardy yesterday and learned Dr. Ruth was trained as a sniper. She went to Israel in 1944, joined the Haganah, a Jewish underground org. They discovered her unusual marksmanship abilities and trained her as a scout and sniper. In 1948 a Jordan cannon shell seriously wounded her. Who woulda thunk it?
