Republican pundits and Bush supporters across the land are praising GW's quick response in mobilizing resources to combat the wildfires in Calif., saying how the administration has learned it's lessons from Katrina.
It seems strange. These wildfires started and spread quickly, and the gov't is right on top of it, yet the warnings about Katrina were out there for days, butno help arrived until 3 days later. Could it be that the response was so quick because a majority of the people affected by the fires are white, middle and upper class suburbanites and the majority of those affected in New Orleans and Mississippi were....not white?
Just a thought.
