Reality

Truth be known Dave the posts you say get the majority or replies are replies from a few people using several names replying over and over. It's rather easy to see this and many of us that have been here a long time just read them (or skip them), ponder our thoughts and laugh at the foolishness then move on to the next.

anyone who posts/responds on this city discussion board (to ANY question, issue, and concern) is representing something about this city. if it has to be a direct relationship to the city, the sponsors might as well close the board down.

muscatine, the city, is just not that interesting. individual opinions (stupid or otherwise) are occasionally entertaining.

chosen - lower your expectations

posters and responders don't participate on anonymous chat boards for an intellectually rewarding payoff. the payoff is psychological.

we want to be seen, heard, and acknowledged by someone - anyone - even if it is negative. in fact, negative gets more bang for the weird psychological buck.
