A fair number....

of sensible and interesting posts. Especially commendable is the way nearly all posters offered condolances to the poster who lost their beloved pet.If you allow, I may join in on occasion. I will not argue politics. Just state an opinion, perhaps. Nor will I be drawn in on these silly board fights. I would enjoy reading about your jobs, families, hobbies and such as that.
You have a great town here, with a pretty downtown when the flowers are in bloom on the lamp posts. A very nice touch.

Miss Iowa gave you input. I am fairly new here, she sounds like she knows what she is talking about.
I'm glad you think we have a great town. We DO & that fact goes much deeper than the flowers yo referred to, jones. You witnessed the support others were willing to give myself & others in our grief over the loss of our pets. That is what a small town, a neighborhood & a family is all about.
Disagreements happen in any situation. Family members/neighbors keep the ''rouges'' in check. (HOPEFULLY! LOL!). I left my job this evening, (as a research tech), (job as requested) & came home. I put a leash on my little dog that just lost her best friend & took him for a walk on our Riverfront walkway, (instead of doing crafts), (hobby, as requested)!
We walked down that sidewalk & watched the sunset as we greeted our neighbors. The safety and friendship we felt as we walked was ABSOLUTE. I walked back to my car without fear & with peace in my heart that this is the place for my children & grandchildren to grow up. I thought about all of the kind responses to our sad situation on this site & recalled all the smiles, nods & ''how are you tonight''; responses during our walk.
You can't buy this kind of peace, beauty & fellowship. It's there. This is our town, Muscatine. I'm proud to call it my home & we all love it. We may get frustrated & angry @ each other, but when push comes to shove, we are there for each other.
