I guess I did hire myself for this job. Save me so much time in interviews.

Anyway I have appointed myself the new Restaurant critic from Muscatine. I have well over 40 years eating experance and a stomach that shows my success.

Today's venture took us to ''Schmidt's Farm Market'' that has the ''Good Earth Restaurant''. We went there for lunch. I had a Chicken bacon swiss burger W/fries and a cup of chili. Mummm Mummm was it ever good. The chili had to be homemade and the chicken brest was huge.

They Recieve a scale rating of *****.

Ratings:

***** = Highly recommended
**** = recommended
*** = so/so
** = not good
* = turn the car around, go elsewhere.

Coffee Cup for a Wake UP!

My dear friend, Jeannie is doing her best to make her Coffee Shop work.
They needed to relocate & are located on south-end, in the western mall across the street from Musser Park & catty corner to the Salvation Army. They are doing good!
It is a drive-thru coffee shop, but they offer tea, & offer other treats as well. I used to think Folgers coffee was ok. LOL! Give me a Guatemala or Peruvian Coffee anyday...& I am happy.
Jeannie & her family are kind, giving & care about our town & our environment. If you bring your own cup, she gives you a discount, ''Less garbage in our landfills!'' She recycles everything, everything!
I went to her house one day to pick her up for an outing with the ''girls''. I had a sore throat & was coughing. She insisted I leave my car, sit down in her very comfy home, while she made me some tea. It took some time. I drank it, tasted good. Maybe it was the tea, maybe the friendship, but ALL OF US WERE ABLE TO SHOP, and did we have fun!
Give her shop a chance? She really deserves this! Jeannie & her husband are doing their best to try & make it work.
My name is Tammy. If any of you stop in, give them my name & let Jeannie know you are there. Give her your honest opinions & advice so that she can succeed?
Every one of the ''business owners'' in our town deserve that kind of consideration. Don't ''talk about them behind their backs''! If you are happy with the service/food, etc. let them know. If there is a problem, let them know. If we don't share, THEY DON'T KNOW!
There are a lot of services in our town that are ''franchises'', yet locally owned. Those ''local folks'' layed down good money to try & make a living. Share your opinions with THE OWNERS. Give THEM A CHANCE to adjust, make changes & adapt to what we need. Don't go for the jugular vein first.
We want local businesses to succeed, don't we? Don't we all believe in the ''American Dream''? We all have a chance to try. Be a critic! Give your opinions to to the people that matter, give them a chance, before you make it public.
That is a requirement I ask of all my friends. ''If I tick you off, come to me, yell at me & tell me why, instead of talking about me behind your back.'' Chosen...if you choose to do this, talk to the owners before sharing here. They deserve that chance! It's only fair.

This sad to say

But I never think of going down there. I have always heard good things about Good Earth, but I guess it's kinda the out of sight out of mind sort of thing. Tina and I are always saying where shall we go for dinner and never think of Good Earth. We are going to have to make it a point to get down there. Hey Good Luck on the new job. Should be fun. What's you review of the snack bar at Walmart? LOL
