Shop of Fright is open!!! We had a meeting today with Mayor OBrien, AJ Johnson, Joe Hagerty and Chief Dalbey. We worked out the issues that Chief Dalbey had and made changes. Chief Dalbey came back tonight at 7:00 PM to reinspect. He gave us several recommendations about safety equipment and egress. Which we agreed to and approval was given to open Friday night at 7:00 PM. Chief Dalbey also volunteered to come down tomorrow night before we open to give all the volunteers a safety course on using the fire extinguishers.
We would like to thank everyone who supported us through all this. Also thanks to Mayor OBrien, AJ Johnson, and Joe Hagerty for scheduling the meeting and listening to our situation. A special thank you to Chief Dalbey for giving us the opportunity to make the necessary changes needed to open.
THANKS TO ALL!!!!

Yeah...
My daughters been buggung the heck out of me to take her to a haunted house this year. I remember reading the article in the Journal, but can't for the life of me remember where or how much in addition to the canned goods. BTW, glad things worked out for you. I like happy endings.

Location and Cost
Our Haunted Shop is located at 1208 Washington St. We are across the street from Muscatine Tax Service. We have spoken with Muscatine Tax Service owner and have been given permission to use their parking lot for parking. To keep everyone safe outside, we chose not to allow parking in out lot. For one thing, it is not a large parking lot, and vehicle would come too close to the exit and entrance.
THE COST....
In appreciation to all of you that stood behind us through all of this, we are only charging $5 per person Friday Night ONLY. We will still accept any amount of canned food items on Friday, but we will not be giving discounts for them on Friday due to the already discounted price. Also, $1 per entry will still be donated to the Red Cross.
Starting Saturday we will go back to normal pricing, which is...
$8 per person, you will receive a $2 discount for 2 non perishable canned food items. We welcome you to bring more, but we will only give you discount for up to 2 per person. We will also donate $1 per entry to the American Red Cross. Your total entry fee would only be $6 per person as long as each person in your group has 2 canned food items.
Please keep in mind we are unable to accept cans with no labels or badly dented.
IF YOU CAN BRING MORE CANNED FOOD ITEMS, PLEASE DO SO. THEY ARE GOING TO THE HIGH SCHOOL FOOD DRIVE.
