apologies

Sorry that I'm getting to this the day AFTER the election. I was out campaigning all day Saturday, Monday, & Tuesday. After all, we managed to win over 400 voters even though it was my first campaign ever & against somebody that everyone else can easily recognize.

Now, I'll get to your question. For one, we do have a couple of restaurants on/near the riverfront (bottom of Hotel Muscatine, plus the Button Factory). I'm not sure if we'd want more buildings built right on the riverfront, are you talking about more restaurants close to the water, or along the street there? If you mean right on the water, that might be interesting if we had something like that more north of the bridge, thus keeping the beautiful view we have right now. And a project like that would require an entrepeneur to come up with the idea and then start up such a place. Floods are also no fun.

I read lilsmom's post and I do think we need a little more of everything here. A mall full of businesses, for example, and some (more) interesting places to shop.
