Placing your hand over your heart during the Pledge Of Allegiance or National Anthem doesn't make you patriotic, any more than going to church every Sunday makes you a good Christian.

Now before all you good conservatives go off on me, I should state that I don't give a damn about Bush's military (non) service, or his battle with the bottle. Sometimes I think things like this are made big to take the focus off what's really important.

The economy, the war, our dependence on foreign oil, illegal immigration, America's reputation and integrity in the world, protecting social security, health-care for all Americans are the issues that will drive this election for me.

There isn't one candidate from either party that has really addressed these issues specifically enough for me.

Agree or disagree, those are my thoughts

Just a gut feeling...

...but there is just something ''creepy'' about Obama, isn't there?
He's had some shady dealings in his home state, but he's not alone there among the candidates.
I just can't define it, but also my wife says her woman's intuition is receiving bad vibes from him too.
Of course, I wouldn't trust any of the Dem candidates baby sitting my kids, or watching over my life savings, or anything like that, would you?
