At the Ducky Baby are you just going to have baby items only or will you have toddler items as well like up to 2t or 3t clothes. I am just looking for some new cute fun things for my daughter and would love to get something other than the same old stuff wal-mart has which she pretty much already has everything they have.
Also what about toddler beds? She is just about ready for one of those as well. If you don't carry these items would they be something that we could order from you?

Well let me know, can't wait to get some time away from my store to come check your new one out.

The problem is we are trying to be a full service baby store in only 1000 sq. ft. So for right now we only have infant things. Our plans are to see what moves and what doesn't and phase out the slow movers to make room for new items. We have been getting a lot of requests for toddler sizes. We thought with so many clothes sold at Elder B and Pennys, and the ''W'' word, we would get into some of the other baby and infant things. But people have been asking for toddler clothes despite the box stores carrying them. We are definately going to have to move in that direction. Give us a little time though. Right now we have some baby cribs but no toddler beds. Let me research that out and see what is available to order in. Stay tuned, I'll get back to you. Thanks for your interest in our new venture.

Jeff, an idea?

You have limited ''physical'' space. What if you were to somehow get a ''virtual'' list together of toddler items others want to sell? Evaluate the items first, take pictures of the items you feel are worth your time & take a commission on the items? You could always limit what you will accept: i.e. baby furniture, monitors, etc. You get my drift! (clothes are a dime a dozen, forget that!). Look @ the big ticket items.
New parents may not be able to afford brand new. Help ''practicing'' parents get rid of the items their ''babies grew out of''. Help them rid their homes of the very items their children have outgrown, yet are in great shape!
There are many parents that have NO TIME, OR DESIRE TO attempt to sell @ a yard sale, on e-bay or Craigs List! If you choose quality ''used items'', the word will spread; between the new parents AND those needing to ''move good, yet used merchandise out of their homes''.
Brand new parents can come to your store & purchase items necessary for thier precious bundle. As thier child ages, they could have the option of coming to you for their growing child's needs; at a fraction of the cost, (because they have now come to the realization what it costs to raise a family). You could provide that need. Just a thought, from me & aunt Irene.

I understand

I know what it is like trying to fit it all into a small space, and how it would be great to carry everything, but unsure of what will sell. It would be great to see if you could get a toddler bed, who knows maybe even some of the crib companies even have them. I would even come and order it out of a book or if you could email me pictures and prices that would be great, I plan to buy one in the next month. My daughter is now out of her crib at daycare and sleeping good on a cot and I like to keep up with what they do there with her at home as well so it is time to move to a big girl bed. So let me know what you find out, I will buy it from you guys instead of the ''box'' stores.
