A guy that I worked with walked in with the help of two canes and walked out that evening with no assistance.
They tell me he is a great Doctor so you will be in good hands.

Back home...

Just got back home around 10 tonite. Got operated on at 12 noon, and walking out of the hospital at 8 PM!!

Leg pain is GONE!!!! Of course my incision area hurts. The morphine in the hospital was VERY helpful!! :-) Nurse kept asking me every 10 minutes if I wanted some more, and I'm like... OK!!

If anyone goes anywhere else but Abernathy for backs, they're crazy. He is truly awesome!

4-6 weeks of walking to do, but it was all worth it. Thx to all for the encouraging words!!

Now I think I'll go take a Vicoden...

that so many knew of and swore by Dr Abernathy in CR for back surgery. I'm writing his name down for future reference. Thanks!

Glad your back

and sounds like everything went well. Sounds like you weren't there long enough to get your sponge bath though. I do know Ruggy likes to dress up in a nurses outfit, if you would like I could send him over.
