Restaurant Biz

Most times when a new restaurant opens in town, there is always the crowds. Everyone likes trying something new. So slow service should be expected, especially because the staff hasn't fully developed a rhythmn. Unfortunately the novelty of the new restaurant wanes and if they can't keep customers coming back, they eventually close. I think I remember hearing that the success rate for restaurants is low. That 78% close in their first year.
I agree

I've heard pretty high percentages of any new business closing in a year.

This place has several things going for it: the food is good, prices for the sandwiches aren't bad and it's in an area with a lot of people who go out for lunch and get tired of fast food all the time. They also have a pick-up window so once the phone number is ''out there,'' people will be able to call and just run in.

I hope they can make it. I admire anybody nowadays who has the courage to start a new business.
