Ya gotta admit, the little cross-dresser is entertaining though. LMAO.

One firefighters' group is taking their attacks on Rudy Giuliani's record to the videotape. The International Association of Fire Fighters, which worked with the Uniformed Firefighters Association (already a vocal critic of Giuliani) and Uniformed Fire Officers Association, produced a video called Rudy Giuliani: Urban Legend.

It's roughly 13 minutes of explaining how Giuliani's action led to firefighters' deaths during September 11. UFA president Stephen Cassidy told the Sun, ''We're just setting the record straight. We had 120 firefighters in the north tower who couldn't get out because they had pieces of junk for radios. ?… We know he's not qualified to be the president and Americans will learn that, too.''

Giuliani's campaign immediately fired back, with this statement from retired firefighter Lee Ielpi, whose son died in the World Trade Center, ''In 2008, I expect these same union bosses to endorse Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John Edwards, so today's comments are just a first step in that process. Fortunately, rank-and-file firefighters know the difference between politics and leadership.'' A Cooper Union professor also told the Sun that the IAFF had previous salary and other disputes with Giuliani during his terms.

And some comparisons are being made to the swift boat ads, but IAFF president Harold Schaitberger said, ''I went through that campaign with John Kerry, and there is a difference between what we are saying and Swift boat ads. What we are saying is true.''

Here we go

First, I am not a Giuliani supporter, but the events on 9/11 were as monumental a tragedy as this nation has ever endured. MANY lessons were learned from this attack, and perhaps ''bad radios'' were one of them.

Many people lost their lives that day, and families lives were changed forever, but to suggest one person is responsible for the deaths of 120 firefighters is insane.

Rudy not popular-

With NY police either.

PATRICK LYNCH ON RUDY GIULIANI?’S PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY

Regarding Rudy Giuliani?’s presidential candidacy, PBA president Patrick J. Lynch said:

?“The inability to keep veteran cops on the job or to recruit adequate numbers of new ones can be traced directly back to the Giuliani mayoralty. While the city was rolling in money, the Giuliani administration cried future poverty and stuck New York City police officers with three and a half years without a raise. Giuliani?’s ?‘zeroes for heroes?’ contracts held police pay stagnant while all the other local departments in the metro area were getting modest but steady raises. Today, there are simply not enough NYPD police officers to keep this city safe, and it is his fault.

Giuliani has wrapped himself firmly in the cloak of 9/11 for his own political purposes. But the real heroes of 9/11, those who helped to evacuate those towers and lived to tell the tale and all those who participated in the recovery and cleanup, know the truth. Rudy Giuliani has no real credentials as a terrorism fighter. His only credentials lie in managing the cleanup after a terror attack. The New York City Patrolmen?’s Benevolent Association could never support Rudy Giuliani for any elected office.''

Like I said.

I'm not voting for him, so my comments are just my opinions, and not those of a person fighting for her candidate.

In the ''heat of the moment'' during the chaos that was 9/11, (and most of us weren't there to really express an accurate evalutation), do you really think his first thoughts were ''how can I benefit politically from this?''. My thoughts are that he reacted with shock as many of us did, and then went to work. did he do everything right? Probably not, but to expect God-like perfection from our political leaders is just delusional.

I think he acted as any shell-shocked mayor of any city would have in an event like this.

My final thoughts are that whoever our next President is, he'll likely be better than what we have now.

Always,
Lil
