Hey JR

Try not to worry too much about those staples. I had a c-section a few years ago, and they closed me up with staples, don't remember how many. Thought it would hurt like heck to get them out, but I barely felt it. It really wasn't a very big deal at all. Went quick, too. Hope you have a fast recovery!!

you WILL get through this, Jr.

JR...I have had SEVEN surgeries. Seven. Most of them have had staples included. The staples are a piece of cake, I promise!
I DO remember the fear I felt when I saw the staples after my first surgery. (The staples were in my abdominal area). I felt like I had a zipper. It scared me to death. I was scared about the removal. It was very easy. They snip them up the middle, individually. You don't feel them take them out. I promise! Recovery after surgery is tough.
Listen to your doctors and your physical therapist. (I recommend pain meds before seeing the phyisical therapist)!, They know what needs to be done to get us in tip-top shape, it doesn't mean we have to like it, right?
(I wanted a dart board w/ my therapists picture on it)...maybe they should use that during the therapy? LOL! I did what was required & am fine today, thanks to all of them. You will be too!
You have endured a lot of pain. You have been given the gift to live an active life, JR! You will be fine!

Be thankful-

Upcoming Traumatic Surgery

Two little boys are in a hospital, lying on stretchers next to each other outside the
operating room---the first surgeries of the day.

The first kid leans over and asks, 'What are you in here for?'

The second kid says, 'I'm in here to get my tonsils out and I'm a little nervous.'

The first kid says, 'You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four.
They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and Ice Cream.
It's a breeze.'

The second kid then asks, 'What are you here for?'

The first kid says, 'A circumcision.'

Whoa!' the second kid replies. 'Good luck buddy. I had that done when I was born.
Couldn't walk for a year.'
