I LOVED that topic...I remember Name That Tune very well. Tom Kennedy was the host, and even as a teenager/young adult, I never missed it. That was back before we owned a VCR, so you actually had to be home to see a show!

Anyway, I have a question for everyone. Do you go back and look for older posts that were interesting? What I've noticed is that once a thread gets bumped to the second page or so, we are generally too lazy to go back and read or reply.

I loved the ''Name That Song'' thread, and sometimes I'll click back a page or two to check other posts. Do any of you do the same, or is that just too much work?

I'm sitting here watching James Taylor on The Today Show. He might look a little older, but his voice is as sweet as ever!

Enjoy this last day of really nice temps, all...it's going to get cold!

I can name that tune in 5 notes. Have you watched that show Singing Bee? It's not the same as Name That Tune, but the time I did see it I was suprised how many songs I did know. I don't go to the second page very often. I guess I am lazy.

Hi Lil-

Seldom do I look at past posts unless I'm looking for a specific one. I remember a lot of old TV shows though. Just yesterday I was thinking about Herb Shriner. Remember him? I used to like the Nelson's and a show called The great Gildersleeve. I think The great Gildersleeve ended shortly after we got a TV, sometime in the mid '50's. Used to listen to it on the radio though, before TV.

Singing Bee

LOVE that show! The cool part, is you don't have to be able to sing..(I love to, but I have a horrible singing voice)..you just have to know the words. I like it too, because sometimes I'll hear a song I remember, but had almost forgotten about.
