Lil

The sad thing is on Dwyer and Michael's this morning they where teaching the men how to get out of doing laundry. They said offer to do it, then get a large load of whites, put it on the hottest wash cycle, then all you need is one red sock or shop rag. After that your wife will never ask you to do it again. I just sat there and laughed. That wouldn't matter to me. I don't mind wearing pink, but he sure will look funny wearing it.

This all came up because they say for every 7500 a woman makes each year she does one hour less of house work.

Just thought I would share!

thankful for

My children and my x. Even though sometimes, (alot) we don't see eye to eye (teenager). There isn't any of it I would change. For these experience, good or bad have shaped me into the person that I am. It is the person that I am now, that my man loves. By the way, he washes most the dishes, cleanes house and carries the laundry up and down the stairs. Opens car doors and pulls the car up so I don't have to walk in the grass. I have a lot to be thankful for. Nine grandkids and one on the way. A daughter in law that I respect a great deal, and her husband that I just love to pick on. Lots to be thankfull for.

I am thankful

that the year is ending a whole lot better than it started.
I am thankful for my family, friends, both Doctors and everyone that helped me make it through it and the rest of the family is healthy.
I am thankful that I have a decent income to provide the things I want and need.
Now girls shortly after I retired my wife was working a part time job, so I helped out by doing the laundry. Funny thing those sweaters of my wives ended up being washed inside out, the same way they were put in the laundry basket.
When she asked what happened I reminded her that I did not turn my socks inside out when she washed them.
I was terminated shortly there after.
Then came the lawn mowing a 15 minute job. I was instructed not to turn corners, mow straight only.
We had a slight disagrement over that and again I was terminated.
My job now is to keep the gas can plus the mower full of gas and that is a good trade off.
Oh yes I also get to clean the mower plus keep the blade sharp. She is not real picky about that part.
Hey everyone have a great turkey day and if you get cold it is ruggy's fault as he ordered it.

Thanksgiving...

I am greatful that I have the many blessings others have stated; a roof over my families head, food on our table every day, the love of family & friends.
I also feel blessed that I have the very strong mother I have. Our family has seen her struggle to survive despite what all of her Doctors predicted 3 years ago. We were told many times to prepare for her passing and she had the strength to come back, even in the darkest of times.
Her challenges & her strength have been passed along to myself & my siblings. The strength my father has shown in taking over has been inspiring to all of us.
I pray that I have inherited my irish mother's backbone, strength & compassion both of my parent's have passed on to myself, my siblings & our families. I feel blessed and thankful for every day, month & year that the Lord allows all of us to be together on this earth as a family.
