was walking by this church,...
Nov 23, 2007
in my neighborhood. The Evangelical Friends Church, to be exact. On their sign out front that tells what time worship is was a passage from the Bible. John 15:14, I believe. It reads as follows: ''You are my friends if you do as I command''.
My first thought: Wow!!. My second: George Bush.
Makes me squeemish. Reminded me of a documentary on HBO called ''Jesus Camp'', about this crazy lady who runs a Bible Camp. She basically makes little kids cry because they may have teased someone on the playground or told a white lie or snuck a cookie. And don't dare watch Harry Potter, that evil warlock. You should all check it out.
I wish a reporter would ask GW if he thinks Harry Potter is evil and bad for our children.
Happy Holidays BB.

SV, a favor to yourself? Pick up a bible & read the passages written before & after what you read on that sign? I did it for you, hon. Read, listen & I hope you will internalize these words.
''John: 15:9,, (not John 15:14)!
''As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and THAT your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (YE ARE MY FRIENDS, IF YE DO SOEVER WHAT I COMMAND YOU.)! Henceforth I call you not servants' for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you... etc.''
I didn't see the program about ''Jesus Camp''. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SUPPORT BUSH. To me, it doesn't matter. There is evil in the world. I get it! There are also very loving, giving & beautiful people in this world. We have a book to turn to when troubled. I quoted a few lines from that very book. I'm not a bible thumper, LMAO!! I have my doubts & challenges like anyone else. I just want to believe that there is good in this world & that we can make a difference, with a little bit of help.
