I heard this story along time ago and I had forgotten about it until today when a co-worker was telling it. I do not remember it 100% so if someone has the story please E-Mail me. It goes something like this...A person wanted to do something special for Christmas and he wanted to make some kind of candy, so he made the candy cane, white is for purity, red is for the blood of Christ and the cane for the staff of life.
