Your post wasn't in any way, shape or form shy or mousy! YOU GO GIRL! DANG, your words expressed what many of us are confused about & feel while reading the posts!
There are a few posters w/ vendettas against others for real or imagined hurts from the posts & just won't let them go! The rest of us DO NOT need to be brought into their issues. Like you, I'd like to respect & treat others with dignity and hope for the same treatment. I'd like to be part of the solution.
Since I don't know, (or care), about any posters past vendettas... I reconcile it in my head like this. If I feel moved enough to respond to a post; (with no prior knowlege of posters ''reputation) , I do. Sometimes I'm angry as I type, other times I feel a connection & want to show the poster support. Compassion & Empathy seem to be missing on this board. You have both, Ann. You said what you meant & you meant what you said. You were not shy or mousy; your husband should be proud of the strength it took to write what you did. It may not make a difference to all, I bet it will to a few! It did for me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, you BRAVE soul!

Well you got me mostlly right

but I passed the ''portlly'' thing 100 lbs ago. No where near retirement. I would love to post more often but for the most part, I refuse to get involved in the BS that has become so pervasive here. I do sometimes not hold my tounge and fire off a line or two but I am trying not to get in too deep. It has become tiresome and trite to read the majority of this stuff.

I love to discuss politice,especially local stuff because it is the local stuff that most affects our daily lives and what we can most affect with out voices and votes.

The friction between BB and Chosen started several years ago. One is a devout Republican and the other a devout Democrat. Both are at times (more often than not) very irrational in their beliefs. Although Chosen made me skip a heartbeat recently when he started he was going to vote for a republican president.

Learn to read what you want, think about a reply for many and post a reply for a few. That's kept me somewhat sane for the years that I've been here.
