Detouring from his schedule, President Barack Obama on Thursday thanked emergency workers struggling against disastrous flooding in the Northeast.
Record rainfalls have caused flooding across the New England states, with Rhode Island taking the most devastating toll.
Obama made his unannounced stop after rallying in Maine for his new health care law. He then darted to a pair of evening fundraisers in Boston for fellow Democrats.

Last weekend's storm system devastated Tennessee and neighboring states, leaving at least 31 people dead across the Southeast, authorities say. Flooding has caused more than $1.5 billion in property damage in the Nashville area alone, city officials said Friday.

So he makes an east coast flooding visit but did not visit the worst flood devastation? How do you suppose those Rhode Islanders felt?
Wonder which levees the liberals will soon claim nobama had blown up?
