There are reports today that the US is in negotiations for peace with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

I thought US policy was that we do not negotiate with terrorists...

So who changed the policy?

On 21st February 2001 (7 MONTHS BEFORE 9/11) The Taliban offered to hand over Osama Bin Laden in return for lifting the sanctions that were placed on the country. Mobay, I think you have the more interesting and informative post here.   The average conservative here has only one solution which is to kill all of them and their supporters too.

It would be interesting to hear their methods for ending it.   But don't hold your breath.  It might be the old "cut and run".
