Hate? or Anger?

I've noticed a reoccurring theme on this forum.  There seems to be a tendency to use the word "hate" to describe things people disagree with.  That word, in my opinion, is used too indiscriminately.

In most cases, what I see expressed probably should be described as "anger" rather than "hate".

There is a big difference.

In many cases anger is justified.   And anger can often more readily be recognized.  You really do have to get inside someone's head to diagnose hate.  I never have agreed that words are obviously "hateful", but they can easily be seen as angry.

We see that word hate used as a pejorative a lot; especially from a couple of posters.   As the song says, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Well said, Hiroad.  The liberals have used the same playbook for many years.  It's easy to see when they're scared.  They use the same tired words, phrases, and tactics.  "Hate" is a favorite.  They are not afraid to play the race card.  And of course, it's the seniors who will pay and who are being picked on.

They are very worried, and should be.

I know not who you have in mind.   My comments on hate have been mostly in reaction to others who have used it and cautioned against it.   I don't believe I've ever said I hate anyone.

Now BS, on the other hand, is a totally different story.   He may not say he hates someone but he uses words that leave one to draw no other conclusion.    He is also frequently accusing someone else of hate when he has no basis.

Now Mallory, on the other hand, is a totally different story.  She may not say she hates someone, but she uses words that leave one to draw no other conclusion.  She is also frequently accusing someone else of hate when she has no basis.
