Muscatine

The City staff of Muscatine has stooped to the lowest level I've seen in 50 years.  Now the City Staff is ticketing grandma for letting grass clippings sit on the street whils she goes after a broom to sweep it up.  Another time they mow a grandpa's yard for a very few minutes and send him a huge bill which will require him to go without several meals in order to pay it.  

Has the Mayor and City Council lost all control of the City Staff?  Or do they even care?

We have a woman alderperson running for Mayor, and just today I had a City employee state they will continue to do what they want and if she gets in the way they will run right over her just before they throw her under the bus.

I do feel its time to get out of town, especially if you are over 55.

And don't let that door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I'm already out, and I'm waiting until these people decide you are  next.  Lets see: they tell you how to cut grass, what you can burn, when you can eat, what you can eat, who can serve you a meal, how much water you get, how fast you can go, how slow you can go, who to worship, where you can worship, what to wear, to just mention a few.   Give the City a little more time, they will even tell you how much air you can breathe.  Complete uniform on City Inspector and Grass Cop.  Armed as well? Police radio. I didn't realize cutting grass was so dangerous  our inspectors have to be prepared for terrorist right here in Musatine.   Who knows, someone may attack them with a tulip, or god forbid a Iris.......

Way out of control.

Yes, in some ways I know what you are feeling. My America has become way more stifeling and restrictive than it was in the late '40's and through the '50's. And, it's only going to get worse. Much worse.

Come the next election day, I'd like to see everyone up for re-election fired.
