As an old salt, I feel like contributing to this gourmet thread.

 

In the Philippines, there is a "fowl" dish known as a Balut (look it up).  I remember them from the mid '60's in Olongapo.  Having someone crack and peel one upwind from you would sober you up real fast.   Anybody else been around them?  Ah yes, those were the days when you actually could smell the "liberty"!

No sir.

I just cannot recall anything like that outside of the time we let some good ole limburger sit a month too long. Well there's those days the hoghouses had to be stripped. That odor just hangs on to a body forever it seemed.
