"pulled some nettles"?  Anyone who pulls nettles has to be one tough cookie!  I imagine its worse than skinning a porcupine.

 

 

Planting peonies from seeds?  I've never heard of this before, outside of China.  I looked it up.  You have to do it just right and  then expect poor results.  If you are successful it will take 3 to 5 years to get a bloom.  But what do you have to lose?

Naw, just be sure you wear good gloves and long sleaves. It's the face that I always suffer the red rage. If you pull the seed pods green just as they darken and plant them indoors in a pot with good fertile soil and some feed, you have a good start for the spring. Don't have to buy them then, and if I live long enough, sure, I'll have some nice blooms the next season.
