"...when we were young."???, BDI?

As a matter of fact...I can't get any of the science wizards to respond to me when I ask them how the Ice Age went away WITHOUT any human interaction! And that's all I need to know.

You know...I worked three years in Truckee, California in the Reno-Tahoe area. Snow stays on the peaks in the Sierra-Nevadas all year long there. It still does today. How much warmer does it have to get? The creeks run all summer long with the water that replenishes lakes and other aquifers.

Ever seen the Truckee River flow in the summer time from Lake Tahoe to Reno?

Global-warming is bullshit!

73 come may. Nope never been there. But it does ring a bell or two. That there is snow capped mountains is wonderful. But I seem to recall that last year they reported that there was no snow atop our mountains at least ALL year, that even alaska was without the chilly white last summer. But who are they. Now there you go with some impeccable logic regarding the last ice age. How did that happen? Better scientific minds than mine best tackle that one.

Justcurious, wow we got riled a bit there. One point to counter. My electric car will be free to charge because the sun said so. But like I said, I do all we have done for the last century plus. But even then there was less than half the people we have now. I worry about one thing really. It's that one day our younguns will not have the luxury of the goodies we have regardless of whether or not there is this global warming issue. The activities of six and ahalf billion mouths has got to be the downfall of our recources. I guess consumption is my meaning. Too damn much consumption.

So how far do you think you can drive on solar energy? How big is this vehicle going to be? Will we all be driving one vehicle with our groceries, supplies from menards? What happens to all the gas-powered vehicles we now drive? A whole lot of thought and planning needs to occur before we jump on that bandwagon.

About my being 'riled a bit there' - I can't voice my opinions without being accused of being 'riled'? I am truly weary of everyone acting like all of this green hoopla is THE answer. In the case of solyndra, it was FAR from the answer and if proper cautions had been employed, the taxpayers of this country would not be out over a half BILLION dollars. Frankly, that indeed gets me 'riled a bit there' and if others aren't ' riled a bit there', they should be!

I'd guess to the store or pharmacy. I doubt oil will ever go away until it's gone. But thats another part of the story. They say they have to go farther and deeper to find it. Are they lying then. Is there really more than we know, so all the reasons for such high energy costs are baseless? And who do you suppose is getting all those riches then? And if they are telling the truth about oil and such, well you best hope you get your electric car some day.
The solyndra debacle was a serious case of mismanagement, and if not then was it a scam to start with, to make biden and obama look like fools? There are plenty of solar cos. out there doing wonderfully. So I don't know and neither does anyone else. But I won't blame bush either.

Solyndra was not a case of mismanagement, nor was it a scam to make Obumbler and BiteMe look bad.   It was/is a case of Obumbler Chrony Capitolism where he plowed half a billion dollars into a "feel good" company that happened to be run by a major donor to his campaign funds.  And all this in the face of legitimate warnings.

And, there are not "plenty of solar companies out there doing wonderfully", unless you are counting those in Communist China.   Read the following to get the true skinny on that:
