Yeh, the popular theme is that the economy will be obumblers downfall. Maybe so. I think that the last thing that will be running through the voters minds, just before they pull the lever or mark the box, is "I can't trust this guy. He scares me".
He scared me before all this, but to be quite honest, the majority of all that posted essay above your reply could easily be any one of the presidents ahead of him. Carter said we will never import another drop of foreign oil once we do the green thing(paraphrased due to lack of memory) Then of course Reagan promptly had any semblance of green taken down. We built bigger cars again, pumped more coal smoke and created the the largest national carbon levels since the 20's. Just ask any californian. The world got cheap oil in months, a growing economy with more millionaires than ever before and an even larger disparity between the rich and poor thanks to trickle down economics. We had a bit more to bank also, thanks to that voodoo economic policy, so we were not complaining either. Hogs were selling high, grains went cheaper into cereal and our stock's bellies, we sold more globally then ever, and the unions were falling apart. Yup, obama will never get us there again. I don't think anyone in the last or next four will either. Too much damage to this economy. So that essay is right, but hardly a brilliant assessment. All obvious and expected before he or anyone took over in 2009. The long and short of it. No, but they all scare me anymore.
