Sorry to disappoint anyone clicking onto this thread, but it's just me writing more of my personal thoughts. It's truly sad what our Government has become.

Though I can't recall, I'm sure many generations past have made that same claim. Maybe I'm it just growing old and become more set and protective of our ways? Or has our Government done us wrong?
I say they have done us wrong and it's beyond correction. In short they are so corrupt that they no longer trust themselves. A implosion is quickly approaching on the horizon and no one knows how or is willing to stop it.
To say We have become a battlefield of the extreme is putting it way to mildly. "Any" elected Government official that puts their self worth ahead of what's best for the country has truly forgot why they serve.
The saddest part is.... We can't change it. It's a system rooted so deep in corruption that the role we (the voter) play is really minor. It matters not what political side we lean, we're just electing the next person to be bought and paid for by special interest.
So who shall we blame?

From Bush to Obama and the Presidents before, from any elected congressman now and before..... They are who sold us. But blame is put upon us, the populace, that doesn't care and would rather argue about who's crook is best for America.

TP, I have to agree the system is broken and I don't think it can be fixed.  The only way to fix it is to get people in office who want to serve the people.  But it seem those of good moral character aren't willing to run, the only ones that do want to run are the ones wanting self promotion and to make themselves rich.  We need morals and character in our legislatures and not more of the same.  I don't know if it can happen.  Once in a great while one comes along that does give us hope, but they are so out-numbered it isn't funny.  From the greatest country in the world to a shameful remnant of itself in less than a hundred years.  What a shame.
