Muscatine

It seems Muscatine Mayor position is about to enter into another phase.  Originally, we had two right wing ultra conservatives in Roby and Hopkins, now we have an additional write in candidate wanting to kiss a baby and cut ribbons.  Do we dare say that a write in doesn't have a chance against two people that we don't even have to know how their name is spelled?

Are you are refering to Mr. Babbit, if that is really the kind of mayor you want with his "Who Cares" platform then you go right ahead and write him in.  You belly-ache you want change and denigrate every city official because you are not happy with the way things are yet you won't take this election seriously.  I think the guys on this board are right, you are off your meds.

What does spelling a candidates name have to do with anything?

Mr. Babbit has my vote. Always did think the bridge lights were a total waste of time and money. Traffic light cameras? Another gimmick to relieve people of what little cash they have left, thanks to Obama and his Harvard law school ideas.

Vote for Roby or Hopkins, if you want more of the same ol' crap. I'll write in Mr. Babbit.  

I'm sure Mr. Babbit was just having a bit of fun, but I also believe he was right about the bridge lights and stop light cameras. Some of us knew the bridge lights would just turn into one big toothache that would keep cropping up until it's pulled. But hey, let's spend the money anyway. Davenport has bridge lights. We need bridge lights.

Stoplight cameras? Can anyone prove they prevented one single accident? Just another sceme to make money.
